On the mend

James is slowly getting better. He still sounds like a cross between a sea lion and a pig and energy is low, but his fever's gone.

Here he is resting in his beanbag.

Daddy is the best medicine!

Sicko

Jamo has croup. Last night was awful with a 103 fever and trouble breathing. He's doing a little better today, but sounds like a seal barking, even while he sleeps! What a miserable virus. To make it worse, James and I won't get to see his little cousins and the rest of the Adams clan in CA this weekend. Boo:(

There's a girl in my bed! [She's cute too:)]

Kate made an appearance in James's room this afternoon. James seems unsure of how to handle this unexpected stroke of good luck!

No peas were harmed in the making of this video.

You can see the fate of James's dinner here! He wouldn't tell me what egregious crime these peas committed to deserve such a cruel fate.

Happy Birthday Abbey!

John took James to Abbey's first Birthday party at The Wonder Place today.

Here's James with the birthday girl at the water table.

Cooking in the kitchen with Abbey and Declan!

Where's that cake? [It's right behind you James!]

Another day at the pool!

Lee-Ann and Declan invited us to swim at the Little Rock Athletic Club this afternoon. Nicole and Abbey came too!

This is a pretty cool ride!

Hanging out in the baby section.

Ditto.

Stealing a kiss:)

Fish!

James learned to say a new word at the Shedd Aquarium today. He was fascinated by all the fish. Unfortunately, they didn't allow flash photography in a lot of the exhibits, so most of our pictures were too dark.

Jellyfish!

Kate's pool

This is my first attempt at video! James had already been in the water for about an hour, so is just laying low in the pool here:)

My favorites

Here are some family shots from Eve's photo shoot!

Park Walk

We went for stroll in the park this afternoon. The weather channel said it was in the 80s, but I beg to differ!

Photo Shoot

Eve took some pictures of James in the park today. There are more to come, but here's a preview!

Greers Ferry Lake

We visited Jeff today at Greers Ferry and had a great time out on the boat! James was equipped with two flotation devices!

Sun in our eyes.

Zoo Storytime

We went to Zoo storytime this morning, which was a bit of a bust. They advertised: 'Hear a story, meet an animal,' which made me think they would actually bring out an animal for the kiddos to see and touch, but no such luck. We had a lovely morning anyway!

Hanging out with Brooke and beautiful Sadie.

What kind of snacks do you have there Kate?

Feeding time at the Zoo.

Giraffes!

Look, I'm taller than Jeff!

This pool is smaller than my bathtub, but I'm still loving it!

Faux 4th

We went to a pre-holiday cookout at Aimee's tonight. James had a blast with the other kids in pool.

James liked the hammock when John and I were in with him, but by himself, he looked like a bug caught in a web! [Check out his retro 'Smurf' shirt.]

Dinner with the Prokups

Al's sister and her husband are in Little Rock for the night, and John and James joined them for dinner. Here's James showing off all his teeth with Dick and Marilyn!

Beanbag

This new beanbag is bigger than I thought...

...but with a little will and determination, I can climb over it!

On second thought, maybe I'll just take a little rest instead.
