Co-Hosting Book Club

With Daddy away in NYC, James helped to co-host Mommy's Book Club tonight. One feeble attempt to put him to bed around 8pm resulted in James grabbing onto the door frame of his room so I couldn't take him in-it was like something out of a Calvin and Hobbes cartoon!

Here James gives Eve some talking points on the book.

A roomful of women, and I'm the only boy!

James's 'literary' look. (Just ignore the monkey pajamas and the drool).

'Let's talk about [books] ba-by...'

Did I mention this month's book was Lady Chatterley's Lover?

Dinner with Jess

James and I had dinner with our friend Jess tonight who is back in LR helping her dad move.

James had a great time sharing Jess's side of the booth!

James in repose

John, James and I went out for a birthday dinner tonight. Here are the boys with their respective drinks.

James being eaten by his beanbag.

James being tackled by Chris. I found James like this the other night and still have no idea how Chris ended up this way! That turtle on the right lights up and projects stars onto the ceiling, and has turned out to be a good nightlight. When J gets up for the day at 4:30am (ugh), he turns it on and plays nicely for a while before we have to drag ourselves up to get him!

Updating the blog

James felt we were falling down on blog duty and decided to take matters into his own hands.

Another Hobby

Expanding on the tower building theme, James likes to build piles out of just about anything he can get his hands on.

Here he is relaxing after creating this work of art that includes (among other things): his monitor base, mom's scarf and cell phone, and his jacket and sleep sack!

This is what we find when we go to get him out of his crib in the morning!

This isn't a pile as much as a collection of stuff. As you can see, this work is pretty exhausting!
